Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

$2815.20/week - Job Summary: Provides specialized nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit, supporting high-risk obstetric and neonatal needs. Manages patient assessments, ensures safety, and collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver optimal maternal and fetal outcomes. Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive and systematic assessments of laboring patients, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum stages. Administer and monitor medications and interventions in accordance with protocols for high-risk obstetric cases. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient care, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative data. Educate patients and their families on labor processes, postpartum care, and newborn care, ensuring understanding and engagement. Follow safety protocols and national standards, such as Universal Protocol and patient identification procedures, to ensure patient safety. Support multidisciplinary team activities, prioritizing patient needs and responding promptly to changes in condition. Qualifications: Valid RN license with current certification in ACLS and BLS. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Demonstrate experience working in a high-risk labor and delivery environment managing a high patient census. Possess strong assessment, clinical, and emergency response skills. Ability to work effectively within a team and exhibit professionalism in a fast-paced setting.
