Park Pass Program Analyst

ANALYST II – STRATEGIC PLANNING AND RECREATION SERVICES DIVISION / REVENUE GENERATION AND DATA ANALYSIS SECTION / PARKS PASS OFFICE $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per Month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. Location: Sacramento, CA. Reports to Supervisor I. Responsibilities Utilize a variety of analytical work methods to evaluate and determine eligibility for the Department’s Discount Pass Programs, including Distinguished Veteran, Disabled Discount, Golden Bear, and Senior Golden Bear passes. Apply principles and techniques required for successful operation within the Annual Pass Program and support the development of Access for All initiatives. Independently perform complex technical and analytical duties with a high degree of initiative and independence. Assist in consultative and analytical functions within the Strategic Planning and Recreation Services Division, including FI$Cal, purchasing, procurement, contract review, and visitor attendance reporting. Maintain integrity, quality communication, and cooperation while exercising sound judgment in all activities. Minimum Requirements Class specification: ANALYST II. Candidates must meet the qualifications defined in the staffing specification and provide academic transcripts or relevant credentials as required. Desirable Qualifications Knowledge of the Department’s mission and related programs. Experience in analyzing and interpreting state government laws, rules, and regulations. Experience using the Reserve California reservation system and point‑of‑sale platform Recreation and Reservation Sales System (R2S2). Familiarity with California State Parks pass programs. Leadership experience in regular office operations. Strong analytical and computer skills (Microsoft applications). Strong time‑management and organizational skills. Customer‑service orientation and ability to interact with all organization levels.
