The impact you will make in our faith-based, mission-driven culture will cultivate excellence and achieve professional fulfillment united in humankindness.As a registered nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for:Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the state nurse practice act.Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.Previous PACU experience or strong clinical background required. Previous PACU/ICU/ED experience required.Day to day duties:Recover all cases both Phase I & II.Approx. 30+ cases per dayRecovery of both Phase I & II in same area.RNs will cover both pre-op and PACU areas with 3-4 total on each shift.Staff is expected to float between pre op/ PACURNs in pre-op/ PACU are responsible for pre op calls, PATs, transports in addition to the clinical aspects of pre-op and PACU care.Unit does see a few recoveries form other departments but is rareOR Suites-17PACU Bays- 12 Bays36 Prep Op BedsPhase I & II recovered in same areasSchedule- PRN- Variable per surgical volume and current unit needsPer policy PRN requires a min availability for 5 shifts in a 6 week schedule block and 2 holiday per yearCall not requiredJob requirementsIn addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified nursing candidates will need the following:Education requirementsAssociates degree in nursing required; nursing diploma or by endorsementBachelors degree in nursing preferredGraduate of an accredited school of nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNsExperience requirementsOne year experience preferredNursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialtyLicenses/certification requirementsRN license required; current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the national licensure compactPhysical requirementsMedium work - (exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
