Job description Job Type: Contract Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Medical Assistant in Laguna Hills, California! This role is in person / on site. Type: Contract to hire! Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Training hours will be within this schedule. Pay: $22 to $24.34 an hour Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant: Take and record patient vital signs Room patients and prepare them for appointments Assist with quality measures and patient care activities Complete patient check-out procedures Process patient referrals and authorizations Conduct patient outreach as needed Document patient information accurately in the EMR Utilize EPIC and other electronic medical record systems Provide excellent patient service and support to the clinical team Other duties as assigned Qualifications of the Medical Assistant: Previous Medical Assistant experience required Experience taking vitals and rooming patients Experience with referrals, authorizations, patient outreach, and patient check-out EMR experience required; EPIC experience preferred Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment Must be able to meet required pre-employment screenings, including a background check and drug screen Must provide required immunization and health screening documentation, including TB testing, MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B records or titers, as required by the client Why work for Adecco?
