Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2120 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

• 24 months gap required between for Travel at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

Required Skills/Experience: Strong knowledge in MedSurg, infectious disease, and isolation precautions.

Special Requests: If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility. Eligibility as current/previous employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Block scheduling is allowed as long as the needs of the unit are met. Travelers may be expected to work holidays if permanent staff coverage is insufficient.

Unit Details: Patient ratios: 1:5-6; 1:4 if Covid. Any & all infectious disease, isolation, COVID, MRSA, C-Diff, etc. All private rooms due to infectious diseases. No cardiac drips. Common drips include Heparin and other typical MedSurg IV medications and antibiotics. Could have patients on Cpap, Bipap, or High flow - managed per RT. Remote Tele from the 3rd floor with monitors at the desk. RNs do not have to read or interpret strips.

Shift & Scheduling: Every-other-weekend. Weekend shifts for Nights are Fri/Sat/Sun.

Floating Requirements: Travelers are the 1st to float. Floating is required to any MedSurg units. If floated to Tele they would be assigned patients within skillset.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
