HVAC Commercial Service Technician

Description:  

Classic Air is looking for an  HVAC Commercial Service Technician . In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and HVAC systems for commercial customers. This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Candidates must be willing to work overtime as needed to support customer and business needs and participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours service and emergency support.

  What You’ll Do:  

\n
• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including diagnosing electronic, mechanical, and electrical components 
\n
• Travel to job sites within the service area and coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate delays 
\n
• Provide emergency service during nights and weekends on a rotating basis 
\n
• Maintain company vehicle, including cleanliness, fueling, inspections, and reporting mechanical issues 
\n
• Keep vehicle stocked with necessary tools, parts, and safety equipment 
\n
• Track and submit mileage logs and required documentation 
\n
• Generate invoices on-site, process payments, and obtain customer signatures and accurate contact information 
\n
• Document installed equipment (make, model, serial number, fuel type, test measurements, photos) 
\n
• Diagnose system issues, perform repairs, calibrate systems to manufacturer standards, and clearly explain solutions to customers 
\n
• Participate in ongoing training on new technologies and industry best practices 
\n
• Identify opportunities for additional services, upgrades, or service contracts 
\n

• Physically able to work on HVAC units
\n
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and carrying ladders
\n
• Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year
\n
• Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders
\n
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
\n
