Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.This role is part of Blue Origin's engineering team, where our focus is on the design, development, testing, and operation of advanced engines and fluid system applications. As part of a dynamic and dedicated team of engineers, you will contribute to both combustion device development and test facility systems that are critical to our missio n. Y ou will apply your technical expertise in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and structural analysis to solve complex engineering challenges across multiple aspects of our programs. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate technical excellence, leadership skills, and commitment to quality while advancing our mission.Responsibilities:Design and develop combustion devices (injectors, chambers, igniters, and related components)Lead the design of high-temperature gas systems, including process architecture and layout for components testing and test facilitiesManage a combustion device's complete product lifecycle from initial requirements through qualificationDevelop and document test requirements and proceduresSupport test operations, including data collection, analysis, and hardware performance assessmentDesign and develop mechanical test fixtures and structural supportsConduct Process Hazard Analysis activities for fluid systems (HAZOP)C oordinate with suppliers, managing cost, schedule, and technical design requirementsProvide remote and on-site support during manufacturing, fabrication, installation, and start-up of new facilities or hardware upgradesCoordinate with internal customers to refine project scope and requirementsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical , Aerospace, Chemical Engineering, or related technical fieldMinimum of 5 years of industry experience in of relevant engineering experienceDemonstrated e xperience in fluid mechanics, heat transfer and structural mechanicsExperience with CAD software and drawing creationFamiliarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Experience with data analysis and data processingPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree or higher in engineering disciplineStrong knowledge of combustion devices design process and hardware fabrication techniquesStrong technical fundamentals in fluids, heat transfer , and combustion analysisProven application of ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to machining drawingsFamiliarity with ASME, API, AISC and ACI codes,Experience operating test facilitiesExperience with hardware development and test systemsCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $121,023.00 - $169,432.20Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
