Supervisory Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

Radiology ManagerDirects and administers the unit including maintenance of accreditation for all radiology services such as general radiologic imaging, CT scanning, ultrasound, mammography, and other services.Promotes Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Plans and maintains progressive involvement ensuring optimal radiological services. Develops operating policies and procedures.Utilizes available guidelines with Indian Health Services (IHS) Radiology policies, the Service Unit and Great Plains Area Indian Health Services Operational goals and objectives. Accreditation requirements, policy and procedures manuals, and the Civil service regulations.Serves as the focal point within the work unit for all property and supply management activities.Serves as the primary requesting official for work orders involving the maintenance, repair and/or installation of equipment for requisitions involving non-medical equipment and supplies.Implements the provisions of regulatory EEO guidelines and practices and utilizes all resources available in carrying out the provisions and objectives of the federal EEO program.Performs assignments that require assisting the Radiologist or other physicians by operating complex highly sophisticated x-ray and auxiliary equipment to produce specialized studies.Oversees and manages contracts and other financial transactions on behalf of the work unit.Performs technical and professional duties as a radiology imaging technician consistent with current certification and experience (CT scanning, ultrasound, mammography, general radiology).
