In this vital role, you will be responsible for setting-up, modifying, and maintaining process parameters for one-shot and two-shot injection molding processes, troubleshooting injection molding and automation processes in regards to quality, performance, and productivity problems, and maintaining cleanliness, tidiness, and work safety Standards. Your expertise will help maintain efficient processes, uphold safety standards, and deliver precision in every part produced. Required Technical Skills Injection mold assembly, disassembly, and repair Preventive maintenance (PM) of injection molds Mold troubleshooting and root cause analysis Mold polishing and finishing techniques Hot runner system maintenance and repair Hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical mold systems knowledge Mold alignment and fitting Mold changeovers and setup support Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD prints Precision measurement and inspection techniques Mold qualification and validation Machining Skills Surface grinding Lathe operation Drill press operation Basic CNC machining knowledge Welding, laser welding, or TIG welding for mold repair Bench work and hand tool proficiency Measurement & Inspection Skills Use of micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Mold component inspection Dimensional verification Precision fitting and tolerancing Troubleshooting Skills Diagnosing flash, short shots, burns, sink marks, and other molding defects Identifying mold wear and component failures Root cause corrective action (RCCA) Problem-solving and analytical thinking Process-related tooling troubleshooting Tooling performance optimization Manufacturing Skills Understanding of injection molding processes Material flow and cooling concepts Mold venting and gating knowledge Lean manufacturing principles Computer Skills CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) ERP systems (SAP experience is often preferred) Microsoft Office Suite Ability to document repairs and maintenance activities Basic CAD software familiarity (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX, etc.) Quality & Compliance Skills IATF 16949 knowledge (especially for automotive suppliers) SPC (Statistical Process Control) Corrective and preventive action procedures (CAPA) Quality inspection standards Documentation control Safety Skills Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Safe lifting and rigging practices Crane and hoist operation PPE compliance Environmental, health, and safety procedures Soft Skills Strong mechanical aptitude Organizational skills Time management Ability to work independently Team collaboration Sense of urgency in production environments Reliability and dependability Join us in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly contribute to producing top-quality products!
