Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical units, including orthopedic, surgical, stroke, cardiac, respiratory, dialysis, and hospice patient populations
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5–7 depending on patient acuity across a 36-bed unit
• Float between two Medical Surgical units (5th and 6th floor) as required
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability and willingness to float between Medical Surgical units
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry, orthopedic, or stroke patient populations
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
