Manager, Maintenance Engineering
Lang Recruiting is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Manager, Maintenance Engineering to lead maintenance and engineering operations within a high-performing production facility.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who is passionate about equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and building strong maintenance teams. You'll play a critical role in driving plant performance, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safe, efficient operations.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team to safely maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve plant equipment and facility systems.
- Drive preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance programs while utilizing key performance metrics to improve equipment reliability.
- Manage maintenance budgets, capital projects, contractor activities, and engineering initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, and Engineering to implement continuous improvement initiatives, reduce downtime, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Provide engineering oversight for plant infrastructure, including boilers, HVAC, compressed air, utilities, and facility systems.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, environmental, and workplace safety regulations while supporting audits and regulatory requirements.
- Support additional engineering and maintenance initiatives as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 4-5 years of engineering or maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing experience is preferred).
- Proven experience leading maintenance teams, capital projects, equipment reliability programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, utilities, preventive maintenance systems, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent analytical, project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- CAD/CAM experience is preferred.
