MRI Technologist

Join a premier healthcare system as an MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment working Tuesday through Thursday overnight shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. This role is responsible for performing high-quality MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and diagnostic accuracy. The MRI Technologist will work independently during overnight hours, collaborating with radiologists and healthcare teams to provide exceptional imaging services in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required
• ARRT(MR) Certification required
• BLS Certification required
• Experience performing MRI procedures independently required
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and screening protocols required
• Excellent patient care and communication skills required
• Ability to work overnight shifts independently required
• Two supervisory references from a manager, director, or supervisor required for submission
• Must successfully complete EKG and Pharmacology testing during orientation
• First-time travelers accepted

Procedures: Responsibilities include performing MRI examinations according to physician orders and department protocols, conducting patient screening for MRI safety and contraindications, positioning patients appropriately for imaging procedures, operating MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images, monitoring patients throughout imaging procedures, administering and monitoring contrast studies as required by facility policy, maintaining accurate patient records and imaging documentation, ensuring compliance with MRI safety regulations, collaborating with radiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams, troubleshooting imaging equipment when necessary, maintaining image quality standards, following infection control and patient safety protocols, and delivering exceptional patient-centered care throughout the diagnostic imaging process.
