Position Summary The part-time Lead Custodian is responsible for ensuring PeoplsBank Arena meets or exceeds standards of cleanliness to the utmost in guest satisfaction before, during, and after all events. Lead Custodians must aid in the oversight of all custodial work. This role pays an hourly rate of $17.12-$18.61 (per CBA). Benefits As Per The Union Agreement. PeoplesBank Arena is also home to the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, the primary developmental affiliate of the New York Rangers. The venue entertains millions of visitors annually with a variety of concerts, family shows, ice-skating spectaculars, consumer events, and trade shows throughout the season. The venue has hosted world-renowned artists including Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Pearl Jam, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Drake, and others. Responsibilities Assists in the training, coaching, and supervision of custodial staff Ability to follow verbal instructions & read written instructions, especially relating to cleaning products & SDS Performs light and heavy cleaning tasks, including, but not limited to, cleaning bathrooms and locker rooms, sweeping, mopping, disposing of garbage, etc. Restocks restrooms with supplies Works safely, quickly, and efficiently to meet all deadlines Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor and acknowledges guests in a friendly manner Possesses basic computer skills All other tasks assigned by Supervisor Qualifications 2 years cleaning or event-related experience required Prior lead or supervisory responsibilities preferred Basic understanding of how to use cleaning equipment Ability to operate scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors, etc. Basic understanding of SDS Basic understanding of PPE Must arrive for each scheduled shift on time, in uniform and ready to work Ability to work morning, afternoon, and/or overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed Ability to stand on feet for long periods, kneel, stoop, climb stairs and reach above head, and perform repetitive motions in cleaning tasks Equal Opportunity Employer Oak View Group is committed to equal employment opportunity.
