In return, we want you to be hands-on, roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities May Include:Material Handling & Forklift Operation:Operate the forklift to efficiently move pallets, containers, and materials throughout the plant facility.Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets and transports load to designated area.Conduct inspection of the forklift prior to operating, promptly reporting issues to maintenance team for resolution.Loading and Unloading:Assist in loading and unloading trucks or containers with pallets or materials using the forklift, ensuring proper placement and securement of items.Lift and carry up to 65lbsPush items with a maximum force of 34 lbs./feet.Pull items with a maximum force of 34 lbs./feetSafety and Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.Maintain awareness of pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the work areaWear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment dailyReport any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.Role Scope and ComplexityThe Forklift Operator plays a critical role in supporting production operations by ensuring a continuous flow of materials throughout the facility. This position is responsible for supplying broken pallet stock to automated repair systems, removing finished product from production lines, and transporting materials safely and efficiently to designated staging areas. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and productivity.Schedule, Travel, and Language RequirementsShift: 3rd Shift, 11:30 PM to 7:00 AMPay $19.90+$2.00 shift Differential $21.90Travel: No travel requiredLanguages: English preferred; additional languages are welcomed but not requiredKey Responsibilities and Focus (First 12 Months)Safely loading automated roller systems with broken pallet stock for repairRemoving finished product from automated production rollers and transporting it to designated storage or staging locationsMaintaining consistent material flow to minimize production downtimeConducting pre-shift equipment inspections and reporting maintenance concernsFollowing all facility safety procedures and forklift operating standardsDeveloping a thorough understanding of production workflows and material handling processesContributing to a clean, organized, and efficient work environmentEquipment and Technical RequirementsExperience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferredAbility to operate both electric and propane-powered forkliftsStrong awareness of workplace safety practices and material handling proceduresAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environmentBasic communication skills and ability to work effectively with production team membersForklift certification preferred or willingness to become certifiedAdditional InformationThis position is essential to maintaining production efficiency and supporting the overall success of the operation.
