Locums General Surgery coverage in Georgia with 24 hour in house call and no clinic responsibilities. This is inpatient ED and floor coverage with a defined call based workflow.

Highlights

• Fast credentialing available, emergency privileges in about 2 weeks
• Short, defined coverage window in late December through early January

Practice Setting

• Inpatient setting with ED and floor coverage
• All ages patient mix
• Call responsibilities include admissions, rounding on practice patients, and triaging patient phone calls
• Volume varies

Schedule

• 24 hour in house call coverage onsite
• Scheduled as 7a to 7a shifts
• Coverage includes ER call and practice call coverage
• No clinic time during the assignment

Cases and Procedures

• General Surgery call coverage for ED consults and inpatient floor issues
• Routine procedures as needed during call coverage
• Must be comfortable with laparoscopic and robotic cases

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Surgery
• Georgia medical license required, will not wait for license
• DEA required
