Job Summary: The Industrial Occupational Therapist provides onsite therapy services at a large-scale construction project, focusing on injury prevention, early intervention, functional improvement, and ergonomic risk reduction. This role supports worker health and safety by helping reduce injury-related costs and promoting safe, sustainable work performance. You’ll have the opportunity to influence the program, improve outcomes for workers, and make a meaningful impact on both employee health and project success. Schedule: Friday 7:00am - 6:00pm. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide onsite therapy evaluations and interventions within scope of practice and state regulations. Deliver early intervention services to address musculoskeletal discomfort before recordable injury occurs. Identify cases requiring medical referral and coordinate appropriate escalation. Design and implement injury prevention and movement optimization programs. Conduct ergonomic assessments and job task analyses. Support return-to-work and transitional duty programs through functional progression. Document all services accurately, timely, and in compliance with legal and program standards. Track and report trends, outcomes, and program effectiveness. Educate employees on body mechanics, posture, and safe work practices. Collaborate with Occupational Health, Safety, HR, and leadership teams. Maintain clinic equipment and supplies used for PT/OT services. Comply with client policies, WorkCare standards, and regulatory requirements. Perform additional duties and assume responsibilities as identified by manager for the efficient operation of WorkCare. Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice. Current CPR/BLS certification. 2–5 years of clinical Occupational Therapy experience required. Experience in occupational health, ergonomics, industrial rehabilitation, or sports medicine preferred. Skills and Competencies Clear understanding of scope of practice and regulatory compliance. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate the ability of maintaining privacy and confidentiality. Strong critical thinking skills; problem solving, and decision making. Must have the ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports. Ability to manage multiple priorities, with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to create and edit written materials. Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors and clients. Strong time management, organizational, and follow-through skills. Ability to meet and exceed daily and weekly individual performance goals. Ability to work independently as well as assisting other team members when needed. Requires regular and predictable attendance and punctuality. Strong clinical skills Strong client-facing and teamwork skills Computer Skills: Proficiency in Windows operating system environment, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to learn and use electronic medical records and client reporting systems. Physical Demands: Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk. Some bending and stretching could be required. Working under stress and use of computer/phone required. Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard. Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch. Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds and climb stairs Work Environment: Primarily onsite industrial/office environment. The noise level is usually moderate. Temperature and air quality generally controlled. This position has an hourly pay range of $48 - $58. Final compensation for this position depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications. Benefits for this position include 401k.
