Position Summary Just 65 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Allentown is near many major Northeastern U.S. cities, which makes it an ideal location for manufacturing and distributing consumer goods. We utilize thermal processing and high-speed canning to produce varieties of our Friskies, Beneful and Pro Plan brandsproduct lines that we have carefully produced, packaged, and shipped since 1958. Together, we contribute to Allentown's identity as a busy industrial city, as well as a beautiful rural environment that we are truly proud to call home. As a Materials Planning Coordinator, you'll manage and execute the ordering, delivery, and inventory of bulk and sacked ingredients for our production plant. Flex your management and organizational skills as you work closely with suppliers, carriers, and other procurement levels to support timely and cost-effective delivery of commodities. You'll handle inventory monitoring, freight negotiation, invoice processing, and claim preparation to ensure a seamless experience across our processes. Collaborate with finished goods planning to forecast raw material needs using production schedules, ensuring optimal inventory levels. Manage procurement of assigned raw materials from external vendors via SAP and auxiliary systems, including freight coordination. Optimize purchasing timelines to reduce freight costs and improve supply chain efficiency. Serve as the primary liaison for vendor communications and oversee the Vendor Notification Process (VNR). Coordinate logistics for returned or rejected materials and publish weekly receiving schedules. Support master data updates and resolve open purchase orders and invoice discrepancies.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

1+ years of experience with materials purchasing, inventory, or production systems in manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment

Salary: $42,815.70 to $65,407.00 per year

Bonus Eligibility: Yes

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
