About Ivy Street School The Ivy Street School is a small year‑round private residential special education school committed to advancing equity and access for young people living with disabilities. We serve neurodiverse adolescents ages 13‑22 and support the whole child through a student‑first model driven by collaboration and a commitment to knowing our students well. The Position Therapeutic Community Supervisor Key Responsibilities Supervise therapeutic community counselors in ensuring the safety and smooth 24‑hour operation of the residential program. Support students with daily stressors using therapeutic frameworks supported by Ivy Street, including CPI, PBIS, and the ARC Framework of Trauma‑Informed Care, and demonstrate mastery of these treatment models. Engage with students throughout all daily activities and lessons, and support them in accessing residential programming—make learning fun and joyful. Help build and strengthen students’ relationships with skill building and academic success. Assist the program manager in overseeing departmental tasks and goals as well as overall facility operations. Demonstrate strong group management skills. Perform crisis intervention when required. Lead off‑campus school trips to enhance skills in the community. Maintain a therapeutic residential environment by ensuring the highest standards of health and safety and implementing school‑wide therapeutic frameworks. B.A. or B.S. in Special Education, Social Work, Education, Psychology, or related field preferred. At least one year of supervisory experience preferred. A valid driver’s license. CPI, CPR and First Aid certifications required (offered upon hire). A background check, drug, and alcohol test will be performed prior to start.
