The Company is seeking a 2nd shift motivated collaborative associate or experienced Composites M&P (Materials and Processes) Engineer to join our Composite Materials Fabrication Site in Mesa, Arizona. Provide technical evaluation and material and process support to composite part fabrication. Perform root‑cause investigations and implement corrective & preventive actions for material and process issues. Create and execute test plans, write reports and input to specifications for materials, tools, and processes. Qualify and approve equipment, materials and processes. Guide material testing in the Materials & Processes Laboratory. Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement. Travel to suppliers as needed. Integrate new technologies and promote standardization across product lines. Manage test/audit programs, ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, and incorporate EHS, LEAN, and Quality principles into your work. This role is full‑time 2nd shift and is expected to be 100% onsite. Requirements Required Skills: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. (And a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience or a Master’s degree) Preferred Skills: 1+ years working with composites, elastomers, and associated processing techniques (Level 2 or 3 applies based on years of experience) Hands‑on lab experience with polymer chemistry analytical techniques Familiarity with materials such as epoxy, cyanate ester, bismaleimide, urethane, polyimide, reinforcements, and adhesives Experience with composite failure modes (structural and non‑structural) and failure analysis. Experience in technical specifications, reports, and test plans Comfortable reading engineering drawings and using Microsoft Office Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations and briefings Ability to work in a collaborative team‑based environment Bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
