Job Title: Ironworker

Shift: Day Shift (early morning 4am start)

• Assemble and erect structural steel components for bridges, tanks, vessels, and other large industrial projects using blueprints and specifications.
• Perform rigging duties to safely lift, move, position, and secure heavy steel materials and assemblies.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, fabrication prints, and layout measurements to ensure accurate fit-up and assembly.
• Operate hand and power tools including torches, grinders, magnetic drills, and other fabrication equipment.
• Assist with steel fitting, alignment, bolting, and tack welding during assembly and installation processes.
• Follow all safety procedures while working around heavy equipment, overhead lifts, and large steel structures in a fabrication environment.
• Work collaboratively with welders, fitters, and production teams to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Must-Haves:

• Experience with structural steel assembly, ironwork, or steel erection.
• Previous rigging experience and ability to safely move heavy materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Experience using torches, grinders, and other metalworking tools.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding, industrial fabrication environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gibsonton, FL.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
