Registered Nurse Endoscopy

$38.37 - $56.17 per hour

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. Benefits & Perks Supportive endoscopy environment focused on patient safety, comfort, and quality care Close collaboration with physicians, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams Modern procedure and recovery areas designed for efficient workflows Opportunities for continued learning and professional growth in GI and endoscopy care Culture that values teamwork, communication, and work–life balance Local attractions within 5 minutes of the hospital: riverfront walking paths, cafés and dining options, fitness centers, shopping, and everyday conveniences Schedule & Call Requirements Four 9‑hour shifts per week, rotating Monday–Friday schedule One weekday off, weekends off except when on call Typical shift hours 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with variations based on procedure schedule 7–8 overnight call shifts per 8‑week scheduling period, including one weekend call per cycle Holiday call required for at least one holiday per year 30‑minute response time required for emergent cases during nights and weekends Essential Functions Assessment: Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status; seeks and evaluates information from the interdisciplinary team. Planning: Uses assessment information and critical thinking to develop an individualized plan of care, involving patient, family, team, and physician. Implementation: Directs the care team through delegation, coordination, and collaboration; provides or delegates care consistent with the plan of care, guidelines, and licensure. Evaluation: Evaluates patient response to interventions, reviews achievement of goals, revises the plan as indicated, and reassesses changes. Professionalism: Promotes the nursing profession, participates in the development of others, integrates legal and ethical standards, documents accurately and timely, and operates within scope of licensure. RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a BSN within four years of hire date. Basic Life Support Certification (BLS). Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution. BSN mandatory as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025.
