Description

CompassCare is seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver Driver with dementia care experience to assist a female client in New Canaan, CT, and provide concierge level care, including enrichment activities, safe transportation to appointments and errands. Our caregivers build a partnership in care that allows our clients to live an active and engaged lifestyle.

Who We Are:

CompassCare is a private duty home care company that specializes in concierge services. We believe that most people would prefer to live independently at home as they grow older. Our client care is provided by a full care team, to ensure that we are delighting the client every time. Our focus is on providing top level care for our clients while also providing full 24/7 support for our caregivers.

Open positions:

• Hourly - Day shift (9 to 12 hours)

Location:

• New Canaan, CT

Responsibilities:

• Provide concierge level care, including enrichment activities, outings, and more
• Provide companionship and engagement
• Provide light housekeeping & meal preparation
• Follow a detailed care plan
• Complete reporting to be shared with the Care Team
• Assist with personal care
• Provide transportation and accompany client to appointments

Rates:

• Hourly starting at $26
• Overtime and holiday pay applies.

Qualifications

Our caregivers are empathetic, kind, and compassionate. They are passionate about caring for older adults and about helping our clients stay active and engaged. Our caregivers are curious and are always eager to learn more about our clients and about how to provide top level care.

Requirements:

• Authorized to work in the US
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
• At least two (2) years of experience in Home Care with the Elderly (One-On-One care)
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Reliable Transportation/Own vehicle preferred
• Well-spoken, with strong communication skills and excellent client service skills
• HHA, CNA, PCA, or PCT Certification
• CPR Certification preferred; must be willing to be certified before starting to work on a case
• Kind, Optimistic, Curious, Empathetic, Dependable and professional
• Passionate about working with older adults
• Reliable transportation
