Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT

Job Responsibilities Operate company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages. Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service. Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area and deliver related customer service functions. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Education High school diploma or GED. Minimum Experience Six months of courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate knowledge of the service area. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and efficient courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak English to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance. Job Conditions Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record as outlined in policy. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Work Schedule Full time, Monday through Friday, 06:00 – 19:00. Pay $25.65 – $38.93 hourly.
