Business Systems Analyst – Data Focused

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst with strong data analysis experience to act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams. The ideal candidate will gather requirements, analyze workflows, support system enhancements, and assist with testing and data validation within a financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Analyze workflows, data flows, and system processes to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with business users, developers, and project teams throughout the SDLC.
• Create process documentation, workflows, and design materials for technical and business audiences.
• Perform data analysis using SQL and BI/reporting tools (Qlik Sense preferred).
• Support test planning, test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.
• Validate reports, system configurations, and data accuracy.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide user training.
• Manage project documentation, issues, and communication across teams.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably within Financial Services, Private Banking, or Investment Management.
• Strong experience gathering requirements and working with business and technical teams.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, data analysis, reporting, and data validation.
• Experience with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).
• Ability to create workflows, functional documents, and test plans.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred: Experience with BI tools such as Qlik Sense and financial systems.
