Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Wilson, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry unit. The RN will work closely with a team to monitor and manage the care of adult and geriatric patients, ensuring their safety and comfort during their hospital stay.

Responsibilities:

• Perform EKG interpretation and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
• Manage discharges and admissions effectively.
• Provide care for patients with conditions such as CHF, CP, ARF, COPD, uncontrolled diabetes, CKD, and post-cardiac catheterization.
• Utilize medical equipment such as Welch Allyn V/S machine and Baxter IV pumps safely and effectively.
• Document patient information accurately in Meditech EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a telemetry or medical-surgical setting.
• Current RN license in the state of NC.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Preferred: Experience with cardiac drips.
