We are now looking for a dedicated Optician to join our team and continue our tradition of excellence. Role Summary The Optician will assist patients with frame and lens selection, interpret prescriptions, adjust and repair eyewear, and provide exceptional customer service. This role is ideal for someone who values craftmanship, enjoys helping people, and wants to be part of a respected community practice. Key Responsibilities: Assist patients in selecting frames and lens based on prescription, lifestyle, and personal style Measure pupillary distance, segment heights, and perform frame fittings Adjust, repair, and maintain eyeglasses for comfort and proper alignment Create accurate work orders for the lab Educate patients on eyewear, lens options, and contact lens handling Experience as an Optician (licensed or Unlicensed) Basic knowledge of insurance plans and optical ordering systems is a plus Why join Smithtown Optical? -Competitive pay based on experience Opportunity to grow your skills and build long-term patient relationships #J-18808-Ljbffr Smithtown Optical
