Compensation: $20-$28+/hour (Based on Experience)
Company Vehicle: Take-Home Vehicle Provided

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established Florida HVAC contractor seeking a Residential HVAC Start-Up Technician to join its growing team.

This role focuses on new system start-ups, diagnostics, system balancing, and warranty support for residential HVAC installations throughout Central Florida. You'll receive a take-home company vehicle, paid travel time for extended commutes, and year-round work with a supportive team.

What You'll Do
• Perform start-ups on newly installed residential HVAC systems
• Diagnose and resolve operational and performance issues
• Balance HVAC systems for optimal airflow, efficiency, and comfort
• Braze and solder refrigerant piping
• Install and modify ductwork, indoor/outdoor equipment, and drain lines as needed
• Calibrate thermostats, humidistats, timers, solenoids, and related controls
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC system components
• Perform preventative maintenance, including cleaning coils, drains, and motors
• Utilize gauges, airflow instruments, voltmeters, and diagnostic tools
• Complete service documentation accurately and on time
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support fellow technicians and assist with training when needed

What You'll Bring
• 1+ year of HVAC field experience preferred
• Graduate of an HVAC technical program preferred
• EPA Type II Certification required (Universal Certification preferred)
• Experience with both low- and high-voltage wiring
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
• Valid driver's license held for at least 15 months
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States
• Spanish-speaking ability is a plus

Travel & Company Vehicle
• Company vehicle provided (take-home vehicle)
• Paid drive time for travel exceeding 45 minutes
• Must reside within 45 minutes of the nearest office
• Travel throughout Central Florida is required
• Office visits in Lake Mary approximately 1-2 times per week
