Yonkers Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking compassionate, dependable, and energetic Dietary Aides to join our Food & Nutrition Services team. Schedule are FT 6am-2pm FT 12pm-8pm PT 4pm-8pm Weekend and holiday availability may be required. Benefits Payrate $21-$23/hour Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays 401(k) Position Summary The Dietary Aide assists in the preparation, service, and delivery of nutritious meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary dining environment. This role plays an essential part in ensuring residents receive quality meals with exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble resident meal trays according to physician-ordered diets. Serve meals in the dining room and resident rooms with professionalism and courtesy. Assist with food preparation, portioning, and meal setup. Deliver snacks and beverages as scheduled. Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment. Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining areas, workstations, and equipment. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures. Properly store food according to health and safety regulations. Assist with receiving and stocking food and kitchen supplies. Work collaboratively with dietary staff, nursing, and other departments to provide excellent resident care. Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous dietary, food service, restaurant, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player.
