Schedule: 9am-5pm in Providence, occasional nights and weekends Salary: $28‑33/hr About the Organization Through peer-based outreach, Project Weber/RENEW provides harm reduction services, builds relationships with the people we serve, and fights for systemic change. The OPC provides a safe, clean space in which someone can use pre‑obtained substances. OPCs have been proven to reduce overdoses, prevent the spread of infectious disease and save lives. With trained medical and peer staff on hand to provide safe supplies, monitoring, and a space in which to feel comfortable, clients are much more likely to engage in other support services. Job Summary The Drop‑in Center Manager is responsible for managing our Providence drop‑in center including managing staff, schedules and ensuring our harm reduction mission and values are upheld. The drop‑in center is a dynamic setting that serves roughly 50 individuals a day who are there to access basic needs, showers, laundry, and harm reduction services. This position reports to the Director of Providence Programs of Project Weber/Renew and coordinates with all directors and managers. Must communicate well with a diverse range of clients and community members and works both independently and collaboratively within a small, close‑knit team in a highly demanding service‑led environment. Responsibilities Work with the Director of Providence Programs to ensure the safe and effective operation of the drop‑in center, uphold policies, standards and protocols and ensure they are up‑to‑date and relevant Supervise drop‑in staff members, coordinate scheduling, support team meetings, coordinate internal communication and decision making among team members Help to coordinate staff training, orientation, and on‑going professional development Submit data and paperwork in a timely manner Closely monitor supplies and equipment; work with operations staff to complete ordering and restocking processes efficiently to support safe and effective program operation Connect individuals to appropriate case management services and warmly hand them off to the appropriate staff person Deliver non‑judgmental health education Contribute to monthly and quarterly funder reports as assigned by supervisors Perform related job duties and responsibilities as required and directed Creating a safe and judgment‑free space for our clients De‑escalate conflict with or among participants, according to established protocols The position may require the performance of other essential and non‑essential job duties in addition to those listed above which will be determined at management’s discretion Qualifications Minimum two years working in a harm reduction environment Experience working in community health with marginalized populations preferred, including HIV positive individuals, people who use drugs, unstably housed individuals, sex workers or formerly incarcerated individuals Maintains respect and compassion for all clients being served, regardless of their active drug use or treatment compliance Commitment to harm reduction and social justice as it pertains to individuals who use drugs or engage in sex work in a multi‑cultural, multi‑racial environment, in a non‑judgmental way Spanish language skills are highly preferred Lived experience, current or former people who use drugs strongly encouraged to apply Physical Requirements Able to operate standard office technology, equipment and utilize office supplies Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Benefits Vision insurance Life insurance Health insurance Retirement Paid time off Job Type Full‑time Schedule Monday to Friday, 9-5pm #J-18808-Ljbffr Project Weber RENEW
