Professionals joining Sprout Pediatrics can expect a supportive, mission-focused environment that values both clinical excellence and family-centered care.\nRole Description The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will provide pediatric occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist across home, clinic, and community settings in the Columbia, South Carolina Metropolitan Area. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, supporting children with activities of daily living, fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, and play-based interventions. The COTA will document sessions, monitor progress, collaborate with caregivers and interdisciplinary team members, and contribute to educational and home program materials. The role also involves participating in team meetings, maintaining regulatory and ethical standards, and assisting with program development to enhance service delivery. This is a full-time, hybrid role, with a mix of in-person visits in the local area and some work-from-home for documentation, care coordination, and virtual collaboration.\nQualifications\n\n Strong skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with experience supporting pediatric populations in diverse settings.\n Demonstrated competencies in Patient Care and Home Care, including family-centered, culturally responsive, and community-based service delivery.\n Ability to assist with Program Development to support innovative therapy approaches, caregiver education, and community outreach.\n Current or Pending certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and active state licensure (or eligibility) in South Carolina.\n Knowledge of developmental milestones, sensory processing, and pediatric clinical best practices.\n Effective written and verbal communication skills, including clear documentation and collaborative teamwork with families and colleagues.\n Reliable transportation for travel within the Columbia, South Carolina Metropolitan Area and ability to work in a hybrid model.\n Basic proficiency with electronic health records and telehealth platforms; prior pediatric or outpatient experience is preferred.\n
