Associate Director, Regulatory Affairs Advertising & Promotion - Oncology

AbbVie seeks an Associate Director for Regulatory Affairs focused on oncology advertising and promotion. This role involves setting strategy, leading cross-functional teams, managing departmental operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for promotional materials in the oncology space.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams and oversee multidivisional oncology advertising and promotion initiatives
- Manage departmental workflow, staff development, budget allocation, and operational metrics
- Analyze industry trends and regulatory issues to identify strategic business opportunities
- Collaborate with Medical, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, and Public Affairs functions on policy and process improvements
- Mentor and evaluate staff performance; implement accountability measures aligned with organizational goals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science discipline (biology, chemistry, pharmacy, pharmacology, or related field); Master's, Ph.D., or Pharm.D. preferred
- 8+ years pharmaceutical experience with Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years with Pharm.D. and advertising/promotion expertise
- Direct responsibility experience in regulatory advertising and promotion regulations
- Oncology experience preferred
- Demonstrated management experience in complex, matrix organizational environments
- Strong oral and written communication skills
