As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming environment. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur07:00 PM - 07:00 AMSun07:00 AM - 07:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government healthcare location. Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report unusual conditions, hazards, or policy violations. Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in required reports and maintain professional communication with site personnel and responding public-service agencies. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Possess an Armed Guard Card or license. A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification are preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
