Job Description

The Postpartum RN will provide care to mothers and newborns after delivery, ensuring safety and comfort during their recovery. The role requires effective communication with both patients and family members, as well as collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess postpartum patients and educate on recovery processes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with breastfeeding and infant care education for new mothers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal patient care.
• Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care Postpartum RN experience.
• BLS and NRP certifications are required.
• Labor & Delivery experience and prior Meditech experience are preferred.
