Welder (butt-welding experience)

work hours: 6 AM - 6:30 PM
education: No Degree Required Responsibilities A butt welder or butt welding technician joins two pieces of metal, plastic, or pipe end-to-end on the same plane without overlapping. Must have Mig and Tig welding experience in addition to the Butt Welding experience. Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and shop specifications. Conduct visual inspections and assist with non-destructive testing (such as ultrasonic testing) to check for cracks, lack of fusion, or structural defects. Follow OSHA and shop safety protocols, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean workspace. The essential functions of this role include:
