Registered Behavior TechnicianPleasant Grove, UT 84062OverviewLincoln Academy is looking for an RBT/Behavior Support Person to work with both elementary and junior high students. This individual will be working under the direction of the school BCBA, and will report to that person.DescriptionBehavioral Support/RBT Job DescriptionLincoln Academy Student Support TeamSpecific Duties Include:Establishes & maintains therapeutic relationship by pairing self as a reinforcing entity and building the value for the students of social interaction with the BCBAPrompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skillsFollows behavior plans and tiered support systems to implement behavior support to studentsIncreases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations)Accurately collects behavior dataFollows the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgmentCollaborates with teachers and staff to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the classroom/ school environment or other individuals in the environmentWork as a team member, including taking direction from administration staffHave clear communication with the supervisor and with all other team members.Submission of all paperwork in accordance with agency policies and procedures.Maintain strict confidentiality of all shared verbal and written information gathered according to agency policy.Demonstrates compliance with state-mandated training requirements.Perform other duties as assigned/required.QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:Has experience working with students with special needsHas the ability to be flexible in assignment and dutiesIs positive in interpersonal communicationHas good record keeping skillsIs organized in time managementEducation and Experience:HS/GED requiredRBT Certification preferredHas at least one year working in a classroom setting or with special needs studentsHas experience working with behaviors for student with special needsHas knowledge of and experience working with de-escalation strategies and positive behavior supportsAdditional Information:Pay based on experience and educationFixed schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-2:30pm (employer willing work with college schedules).
