About the Position

Job Opportunity – Labor and Delivery RN – Texas

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Austin, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends, no call requirements, 13-week contract

Highlights:

• 32-bed Level IV high-volume Labor and Delivery unit providing advanced maternal care
• Optimal patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity
• Comprehensive case mix including spontaneous vaginal deliveries, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC
• Modern equipment including Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, and advanced monitoring technology
• Meditech EMR system with structured charge nurse support on every shift
• Collaborative team environment with over 150 nursing staff members

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas or ability to obtain
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications
• Intermediate fetal monitoring certification required
• Competency in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), sterile vaginal exams (SVE), and C-section circulation
• Internal monitor placement competency and previous Level IV unit experience preferred
