Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (LDRP) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (LDRP) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a passion for providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires the ability to float to assist other units as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in an LDRP setting.
• Assist with sterile speculum exams, fetal heart monitoring, and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
• Support new mothers with breastfeeding and lactation education.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols.
• Participate in daily rounds and maintain accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Current BLS, AWHONN, and NRP certifications required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
• Ability to fulfill call requirements, including mandatory shifts within the schedule.
