About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN Stepdown/Tele Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting License: VA license/compact required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Proficient in Telemetry Description: Seeking an experienced RN for travel assignment in a stepdown/telemetry unit. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital setting. The unit specializes in cardiac procedure patients, including STEMI, NSTEMI, and post-catheterization care. Nursing care includes chest pain rule-out, CHF, COPD management, and other cardiac procedures. Expect to handle chest tubes, hi-flow and Bi-PAP, pericardiocentesis, thoracentesis, PD, trachs, and pacemakers. The patient ratio is 4:1 with a staffing model that includes RNs, LNA, and a Unit Clerk. Team collaboration is essential, with bedside shift rounds and personal connections encouraged. The environment uses advanced equipment such as IV pumps, Sara Steadys, and Hoyer lifts. Continuous professional development is supported, and the unit has received recognition for excellence.
