Housekeeping Supervisor

Description Colby-Sawyer has a full-time Housekeeping Supervisor position available immediately. This is a working housekeeping department supervisory position. Candidate will be assigned an area to clean and supervise work activities of all cleaning personnel to ensure areas are clean, orderly, and provide an attractive environment for students and staff. Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping issues and make necessary corrections. Responsible for purchasing housekeeping supplies and receiving quotes for equipment, and housekeeping inventory, screen applicants, train new employees, and recommend dismissals. This position reports directly to the director of facilities management. Requirements Must have a minimum of 5 years commercial/instructional cleaning supervision experience. Excellent knowledge and skills related to all housekeeping duties, with commercial/institutional cleaning experience. Must be able to perform heavy custodial work and operate cleaning equipment. Ability to understand and follow written instructions, labels and warnings required, along with the ability to work cooperatively with others. It is essential to have clear and professional communication skills. Working well with other employees and departments is a key component to this position. Must have valid New Hampshire driver's license.
