PAY: $19.00-$25.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30/5:00 PM

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant - Accounts Receivable to join an on-site accounting team in Brooks, Oregon. This position will support accounts receivable functions, including reviewing customer documentation, researching deductions, invoicing, and data entry. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and critical thinking skills , excellent attention to detail, and the ability to review information, understand what they are receiving, and determine the appropriate action.

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant - Accounts Receivable to join an on-site accounting team in Brooks, Oregon. This position will support accounts receivable functions, including reviewing customer documentation, researching deductions, invoicing, and data entry. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and critical thinking skills , excellent attention to detail, and the ability to review information, understand what they are receiving, and determine the appropriate action.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull and review documents from customer portals
- Email customers to request missing or additional documentation
- Review and understand customer documents and supporting information
- Research and analyze customer deductions
- Assign deductions in SalesManager
- Enter invoices and bills accurately
- Perform accounting-related data entry
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and irregularities
- Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment issues
- Provide invoice copies and supporting documentation as requested
- Assist with credit memos and customer claims as needed
- Respond to customer phone calls and email inquiries
- Assist with special projects and other accounting needs
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to review documents and understand financial information
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Ability to identify issues, research information, and determine appropriate solutions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Microsoft NAV experience is a plus
- Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- At least 1 year of accounting experience , preferably accounts receivable
- Manufacturing or food service industry experience preferred
- Equivalent education and experience may be considered
