Retail Sales Associate (Full-Time)

TRUDON, the renowned luxury candlemaker from France, has an exciting opportunity for a Retail Sales Associate to join us. This is a role that works between our two New York City boutiques- 146 Spring St (SoHo) and 620 5th Ave (Rockefeller Center).

Founded in 1643, TRUDON is the oldest continuously operating candlemaker in the world and is formerly the official supplier of the French royal court. Known for its exceptional craftsmanship and high quality, TRUDON produces high-quality artisanal candles, diffusers, fine fragrances and body care that are cherished for their captivating scents and exquisite designs. We are committed to preserving the art of candle making while expanding our global presence.

This is a full-time position. We are looking for a candidate with open availability and able to work 5 days a week. Our boutiques are open 7 days a week and the hours are 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent TRUDON in store by providing remarkable customer service, floor maintenance, and operational support.
• Welcome, engage, and educate clients with company history and strong product knowledge.
• Cultivate meaningful client relationships while actively engaging new clientele.
• Uphold TRUDON’s standards of presentation, service, and boutique maintenance.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to achieve sales goals and support business initiatives.
• Contribute to inventory management, stock control, merchandising, and housekeeping as needed.
• Receive and process deliveries, including preparing and organizing deliveries and shipments to clients.
• Ensure accuracy and discretion in all point-of-sale transactions.
• Represent TRUDON within the local community, supporting boutique visibility and engagement.
• Standing for extended periods and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Participate in special projects and other assignments as necessary.

From time to time and at its absolute discretion, TRUDON may require you to perform any other reasonable duties which are commensurate with your job title in order to meet its business needs.

What We’re Looking For:

• 2 years of experience in retail, preferably within luxury goods, hospitality, or fragrance.
• Passion for using storytelling to drive sales and develop clienting ability.
• Passionate about fragrance and the luxury client experience.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a high traffic boutique setting.
• Ability to work varied days/hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
