Senior Tax Manager

This is not a “sit back and review returns” Senior Manager role.
You’ll step into a true leadership seat —owning client relationships, driving tax strategy, and developing a team—within a firm that values judgment, autonomy, and advisory thinking over
bureaucracy .
If you’ve been stuck doing high-volume compliance or feel boxed in at a larger firm, this is a chance to operate closer to the business and the client.
What You’ll Own
- Lead complex tax engagements focused on pass-through entities (Partnerships & S-Corps)
- Operate as a primary reviewer (~85%) , ensuring both technical accuracy and strategic insight
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on planning, structure, and long-term tax strategy
- Own client relationships: billing, scope, retention, and growth
- Manage and develop a team of Managers, Seniors, and Staff
- Navigate complex tax issues across a diverse client base (multi-industry)
- Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and process improvements

Requirements
- 8+ years in public accounting (tax)
- Strong pass-through entity experience ( not SALT-focused )
- Active CPA
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field
Nice to Have
- MST or LL.M.
- Experience with CCH ProSystem fx / Engagement / Document
