JOB SUMMARY

Provides direct patient care and technical support in an Interventional Radiology setting, focusing on a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including neurological, vascular, genitourinary, abdominal, and pelvic studies. Assist physicians with complex procedures such as angioplasty, chemoembolization, embolization, IVC filter placement/removal, stent placement, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, vertebroplasty, and TIPS. Manage venous access, including central venous access (non‑Tunneled/PICC lines). Operate and maintain equipment, including fluoroscopy, and utilize 3D imaging capabilities. Maintain sterile fields during procedures and act as a room circulator. Prepare access sites and apply lead shielding as needed. Stock supplies and manage inventory. Maintain proficiency in isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE). Respond to rapid response and code team activations. Perform EKG lead placement. Utilize vascular closure systems (e.g., Perclose, StarClose). Administer contrast media as required. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and sterile technique. Schedule / Shift 40 Hours per week available. Shift: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00 (8‑Hour Days). Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of direct experience in Interventional Radiology. Mandatory experience in Neuro Interventional Radiology. Must be a seasoned traveler; first‑time travelers will not be accepted. Acceptable for local candidates. Experience Minimum 2 Years of Minimum Experience REQUIRED. Previous Stroke Certified Hospital Experience Preferred. Work Setting Skills REQUIRED: Interventional Radiology & Special Procedures. Equipment/Operation/Maintenance Skills REQUIRED: Maintains equipment, PACS & Stocks supplies. Abdominal and Pelvic Skills REQUIRED: Angioplasty, Chemoembolization, Embolization, Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter placement, Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter removal, Inferior vena cavagram, Mesenteric Angiogram, Pelvic angiography, Percutaneous Hepatic Angiography, Renal Angiography, Selective visceral angiography & Superior vena cavogram. Genitourinary Studies/Procedures Skills REQUIRED: Angiography of genitourinary syste, Catheter/drain exchange, Cholecystostomy, Embolization, Gastrostomy, Internal/external biliary drainage, Nephrostomy, Percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram, Renal Angiography, Ureteral Stent Placement & Uterine Arterial Embolization. Neurological Studies/Procedures Skills REQUIRED: Carotid Angiography, Embolization, Stent placement, Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy & Vertebroplasty. Vascular Studies/Procedures Skills REQUIRED: Angioplasty, Carotid Stenting, Central Venous Access/Port Placement, Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy & TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt). Venous Access Skills REQUIRED: Central Venous Access (non-Tunneled/PICC lines). Equipment and Devices Skills REQUIRED: Fluoroscopy. Procedural Responsibilities Skills REQUIRED: Equipment set up, Prep access site, Room circulator & Scrub- maintain sterile field. Professional Knowledge and Skills REQUIRED: 3D imaging, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Lead tech experience & Use of Rapid Response/Code teams. Infection Control Skills REQUIRED: Sterile Technique. Preferred Qualifications Equipment/Operation/Maintenance Skills: Maintains inventory. Abdominal and Pelvic Skills: Adrenal Angiography, Aortography, Gastrostomy Tube Placement, Liver Biopsy, Paracentesis, Pulmonary arteriography, Radio embolization, Stent placement & Thoracentesis. Genitourinary Studies/Procedures Skills: Adrenal Angiography, Percutaneous Stone Extraction & Renal Artery Stent Placement. Vascular Studies/Procedures Skills: Dialysis Graft interventions (fistulograms/declots) & Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography. Venous Access Skills: Central Venous Lines- Care and Maintenance & PICC Lines- Care and Maintenance. Equipment and Devices Skills: GE Innova IGS, Siemens & Ultrasound. Procedural Responsibilities Skills: Perform EKG lead placement & Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose). Certifications ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) BLS (Basic Life Support) ARRT CI (Computed Imaging) Preferred ARRT VI (Vascular Interventional) Preferred Skills Neuro Interventional Procedures Interventional Radiology Procedures Fluoroscopy Operation PACS Management Supply Management 3D Imaging Isolation Precautions Sterile Technique Vascular Closure Systems Remote and Special Procedures EMR / Systems EPIC Required Pyxis Patient Population Adult and Geriatric Unit / Specialty Interventional Radiology Special Procedures Stroke Intervention Floating / On-Call Float Requirement: NONE Call Requirement: Yes. One day per week on a rotational basis (Tuesday, Thursday, Monday, Wednesday, Weekend). Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend every 6‑7 weeks. Standard Requirements A maximum of 7 days of pre‑approved RTO is allowed for the duration of the assignment. Any call‑offs or additional RTO requested beyond the standard allowance may result in cancellation or denial of RTO. Candidates must be fully available for any schedule changes related to orientation; missing any portion of orientation may impact job start.
