Trainer

Overview We are seeking a part-time Lab Instructor (20–25 hours per week) to deliver face-to-face laboratory instruction for our radiography program. In this onsite role, you will guide students through the applied psychomotor skills necessary for clinical competency. Working collaboratively with program leadership, you will facilitate small-group sessions, supervise energized and non-energized practice, and ensure a safe, supportive learning environment that meets rigorous accreditation standards. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Supervision: Facilitate small-group laboratory sessions (e.g., Introduction to Patient Care, Introduction to Radiography), demonstrating radiographic positioning, equipment operation, and image production. Evaluation: Assess and document students' skill acquisition using objective criteria, ensuring lab activities align with overall program learning outcomes. Safety & Compliance: Reinforce strict radiation and patient safety principles (e.g., ALARA, shielding, infection control) and maintain compliance with JRCERT Standards. Lab Management: Manage a safe, organized, and equitable laboratory environment, ensuring adequate hands-on practice and equipment access for all students. Qualifications Education: Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field (or equivalent experience/training). Skills & Experience: applied clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills tailored for small-group instruction, and proficiency with standard office software and learning management platforms. Licenses & Certifications: Current, unrestricted ARRT certification and registration in Radiography — R(R). Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) or equivalent state radiologic technology license. Current BLS/CPR certification for healthcare providers.
