Staff Accountant

Our client, a fast-growing trailer and equipment dealership in Birmingham. As Staff Accountant, you'll help build the financial backbone behind sales, leasing, rentals, parts, and service as the company scales.

Compensation
  • $75,000-$80,000
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Annual increases
What You'll Be Doing
  • Prepare and post journal entries across multiple business lines
  • Own bank reconciliations and keep cash accounts accurate
  • Support month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve variances
  • Partner with the Controller and Accounting Managers on reporting
  • Help build processes as the department grows
What You'll Need to be Considered
  • Proven bank reconciliation and journal entry experience
  • Bachelors in Accounting
  • Solid GAAP knowledge
  • Ability to pick up industry-specific accounting software
  • Bonus: background in logistics, trucking, or heavy equipment
