Diesel Truck Mechanic

We are currently seeking a dedicated Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our team and help maintain our fleet of Dump Trucks and Semi Tractors. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough and accurate preventive maintenance (PM) inspections on company vehicles.
• Complete all scheduled PM maintenance tasks, including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotations.
• Carry out unscheduled maintenance and repairs as directed by the supervisor.
• Diagnose and repair complex issues involving engines, electrical systems, fuel systems, brakes, exhaust, emissions, suspension, drivetrain, and hydraulic systems.
• Provide emergency roadside service as needed to minimize downtime.
• Document all repairs and parts used on work orders accurately and completely.
• Communicate repair needs, parts requirements, and any obstacles to the supervisor in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with manufacturer technical support when addressing emissions and aftertreatment system issues.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand, squat, and kneel for extended periods.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• ASE certification is a plus.
• Certification with Cummins, Mack, or Freightliner is a plus.
