Portland, ME | Acute Care – Level One Trauma Center

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: November 1, 2026 | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | 1:4 weekend rotation (12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate in a high-volume Operating Room environment within a Level One Trauma Center serving multiple surgical specialties
• Independently navigate multiple surgical vendors and equipment platforms including Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and the Intuitive robotic system
• Proficiently circulate complicated total joint revisions, robotic-assisted procedures, and orthopedic polytraumas
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio and adhere to all unit protocols and safety standards
• Fulfill call requirements, including one overnight trauma call (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM); specialty team call (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho) scheduled per specialty team rules
• Document accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or eligibility to obtain licensure in Maine)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Level One Trauma experience required
• Demonstrated ability to independently navigate multiple surgical vendors
• Proficiency circulating complex total joint revisions, robotics, and orthopedic polytraumas

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CNOR certification preferred
• Experience in one or more of the following specialties: General, GU/GYN, Orthopedic Trauma, Orthopedic Joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, or Endovascular
• Flexible, accountable, punctual, and team-oriented work style
