Job Title: Production Operator

Job Description

The Operator sets up, operates, and maintains production machinery used in the manufacturing process of advanced power transmission lines. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. No prior machine operating experience is required, as comprehensive training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Work both individually and as part of a team to meet production goals and quality standards.
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure products meet defined quality requirements.
• Conduct regular in-process inspections to maintain strict quality control standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary adjustments during the production process.
• Record production data, including production numbers, machine settings, and product quality information.
• Maintain a consistent level of productivity and quality output while demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Use a computer to enter activities and production data into the ERP system.
• Follow all safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment.
• Comply with cross-training and other training requirements to build versatility across production tasks.

Essential Skills

• Ability to speak and read English effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret gauges and accurately record measurements.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and relevant manuals.
• Ability to stand for an 8–10-hour shift.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management capabilities.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Basic computer skills to enter activities into an ERP system.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery.
• Willingness to follow safety protocols and use PPE consistently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior production or machine operation experience is preferred but not required.
• Interest in learning machine setup and operation through on-the-job training.
• Comfort performing visual and measurement-based inspections.
• Willingness to participate in cross-training to support multiple production tasks.

Work Environment

You must be flexible to work 1–2 hours of overtime per day and occasional Saturdays, though weekend work is not frequent. The facility is very clean and modern and focuses on manufacturing advanced power transmission lines that are lighter, stronger, and more resistant to environmental degradation than traditional power lines. You will work in a production environment with machinery, follow established safety protocols, and use personal protective equipment as required. The role involves standing for most of the shift, performing repetitive tasks, and handling materials up to 25 pounds in a structured, safety-conscious setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
