About the Role:

La Quinta Austin Oltorf is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our hospitality team in Austin, TX! In this role, you'll help lead our housekeeping department to deliver spotless, welcoming guest rooms and common areas that keep our guests coming back. Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing daily housekeeping operations and staff scheduling
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and brand standards are met
• Train, coach, and motivate housekeeping staff to maintain high performance and morale
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, coordinating orders as needed
• Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints, ensuring swift resolution and satisfaction
• Coordinate with front desk and maintenance teams to ensure room readiness and timely turnovers
• Enforce safety, sanitation, and compliance standards in accordance with hotel policies

Requirements:

• 1+ years of housekeeping supervisory or management experience, preferably in a hotel setting
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and sanitation standards
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate a diverse staff
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform light lifting for extended periods
• Must be bilingual
