Quality Assurance Technician

Quality Control TechnicianWe are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Technician to join our team! The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for inspecting raw materials and work in process with finished goods to ensure compliance with product specifications. Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is ideal. A background in printing, packaging or a similar industry is a huge plus!Pay range 20.00 to 25.00 hourResponsibilitiesExamines purchase order and/or other documents to secure details regarding size, colors, content and other product characteristics being inspected for.Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system and conformity to specified standards.Tests samples of product and documents results.Approves or rejects product and writes report of inspection resultsIdentifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situationsThe Ideal Candidate Will:Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure qualityAdapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisionsUnderstands business implications of decisions; Displays orientation to profitability; Aligns work with strategic goals.Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner while gathering and analyzing information skillfullyDevelops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situationsQualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); college degree in related field preferredOne year or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.One year or more of experience working in a manufacturing environment, printing, packaging or folding carton experience preferred
